A childbirth education class for couples preparing for a natural birth in the hospital.

Understand the physiology of birth, learn practical skills for labor, and prepare to navigate the hospital with confidence.

Sunday August 23, 1-6pm
Vibrant Family Chiropractic & Wellness
August class: $75 per couple
launch price for our founding class, regularly $225

One afternoon. Three couples. Everything you actually need to know.

Most childbirth classes either overwhelm you with information or leave you wondering how to actually apply it when labor begins.

How Birth Works is different.

Designed specifically for couples planning a low-intervention hospital birth, this class combines evidence-based education, practical hands-on skills, and meaningful discussion in a relaxed small-group setting.

You'll build the understanding and confidence to work with birth—not against it.

What we'll cover

What your body is doing in labor, why, and how to support it. Why contractions feel the way they do and how the sensations change as your labor progresses.

Birth planning and preferences. How to think through your choices, communicate them in a hospital setting, and how to build a birth plan that helps you achieve your birth goals.

How to work with contractions instead of against them. Positions, breath, movement, counter-pressure. We'll have hands-on practice, not just talk about it.

Partner support. Partners leave this class understanding comfort measures & how to encourage you through labor, and how to confidently advocate for you.

Every mom comes in with one question she hasn't asked anyone. Sometimes it's about pain. Sometimes it's about her provider, or something that happened in their last birth, or a thing she read at midnight and can't shake. In a room of forty, it’s intimidating to raise our hand and ask that question. In a class this size, we talk about it all.

This class is a great fit if you are...

✓ Planning to give birth in an Omaha-area hospital

✓ Hoping for an unmedicated or low-intervention birth

✓ Wanting your partner to feel prepared to support you

✓ Anywhere from about 24 weeks on

Meet Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Kayla.

As a birth doula, I've had the privilege of supporting more than 50 families through labor and birth at Women’s Methodist, Nebraska Medicine, and all 3 CHI hospitals. Time and time again, I've seen the same thing: when parents understand how birth works and know how to work with birth, they approach labor with greater confidence, calm, and trust.

I created this class because I wanted to offer the kind of childbirth education I wish every family had access to—education that goes beyond hospital policies and checklists to help you understand the physiology of birth, prepare your partner, practice practical comfort techniques, and learn how to navigate the hospital while protecting what matters most to you.

My goal isn't to tell you what kind of birth you should have. It's to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed decisions and approach your birth feeling prepared & excited. I can’t wait to meet you!
